My friend Lynne DeVenny nailed it (as she often does) when she once said that blogging without comments is like talking to yourself<\/a>.\u00a0 So true!\u00a0 I love to get comments on my blog.\u00a0 Every notification I get in my email is like a special treat that gives me a momentary \u201coh goody!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Wait. Scratch that.\u00a0 Not all comments give me a momentary \u201coh goody!\u201d\u00a0 Some comments just make me automatically hit the delete button.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve ever entered a comment on this blog you might have noticed that the first one didn\u2019t show up right away.\u00a0 That\u2019s because my blog is set up so I can moderate comments before they get published.\u00a0 First time commenters go through an approval process where they sit in my WordPress queue so I can identify the person as \u201capproved\u201d or \u201cspam.\u201d\u00a0 Once you have been put on my approved list your comments go up automatically.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Theoretically this means I can censor what people say.\u00a0 Please know that I would never do this to a real reader.\u00a0 Everyone has a right to their own opinion and is free to express it.\u00a0 Except spam bots.\u00a0 Since they are not real they don\u2019t get the benefit of my censorship policy except for here where I will share with you some of the comments that didn\u2019t make it to my blog.\u00a0 And yes, I will<\/em> l give them some undeserved privacy by not sharing their email address so they can\u2019t get spammed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s start with this comment I received concerning a post I wrote about emptying ink pens and filling spiral notebooks<\/a>.\u00a0 Charles found this very useful and seemed to think this might cure his acne.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This bot was so touched by what I have to say he was speechless.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sometimes \u201cpeople\u201d try to impress me with their vast knowledge in legal matters and cobweb sites?\u00a0 Don\u2019t forget to click on that link for great travel deals in China!\u00a0<\/p>\n
